Cornered is a two-screen video projection and performance.

It focusses on gesture, behaviour and frame. It is comprised of a series of portraits influenced by a high profile television trial. A female actor performs the guilt, avoidance and denial of an elderly male defendant. The image is tightly framed in order to give a suggestion of a claustrophobic surveillance. Every tic, and move, becomes exaggerated. Audio references to indictments and accusations are deliberately eroded.
