Reaction No Action was first exhibited as a multi-channel video and sound installation.
An unknown street at night and 3 women react to an unknown event. These fragmented images are juxtaposed with audio from other unknown locations, in which other unknown women react strongly to something they have seen.
This film was originally shown as a multi-channel installation at the Bonded Warehouse in Birmingham. I wanted to explore visual and auditory displacement and its impact on narrative structure and on visual signposting.
The films borrow footage and audio from three British drama and docu-drama programmes.
